How We Work With You

At Wolcott Counseling & Wellness, we use a strengths based, trauma-informed, and interpersonal approach. This means we tailor your treatment to you, your identity, your particular history, and to our awareness of your strengths and growth edges. We are culturally and identity sensitive, somatically aware, and our interventions are evidenced-based to make the best use of your resources of time, energy, finances and attention. We are highly competent, respectful, compassionate, and able to challenge you without overwhelming you.

We listen carefully to your goals, and we revisit those goals as we move through treatment. Our role is to broaden and widen the types of conversations you may have experienced previously as you’ve attempted to heal and grow. You’ll leave therapy with new perspectives and new coping skills. Relationships improve, while your authenticity unfolds. Individual therapy is a journey of self-discovery, support, and symptom relief. Our counselors affirm your right to happiness and fulfillment, guiding you from scarcity to abundance. We work as quickly as we can for you, but as slowly as we need to in order to respect your goals and your pace of healing. If we feel you have a need that we’re not effectively skilled at treating, we will refer you to an expert who is.

At Wolcott Counseling & Wellness we provide in-person counseling in our North Florida offices, and telehealth sessions for our state-wide and California clients.
